"Inspired by classic, casual silhouettes, but made with the lightest and most comfortable material available, Native Shoes are the best of both worlds. Footwear for the future done in the style of everything we've ever loved about shoe design. You can slip them on for a quick stroll, throw them into your backpack for a day at the beach. Our aesthetic is relaxed, flexible and active. Native shoes is footwear for anybody, anywhere, anytime."

Damian Van Zyll De Jong, the founder of Native Shoes, is doing exciting things in's hometown of Vancouver, BC. Launched in 2009, Native Shoes is making us re-think everything we know about casual footwear! The brand started with just three shoes, based on Damian's favorite styles from Converse, Clarks and Vans.

Native Footwear Is all about keeping it light, both in culture and with their products. Made with foam-injection molded EVA, they mold to your feet while being lightweight, washable and odor resistant. The process they use is light on the environment as well thanks to zero waste injected molds, a low energy emissions manufacturing process, and all of their footwear is animal by-product free.

Here are a few of our favorites:
One of the first and a classic! The Native Unisex Miller in Dublin Grey/Pigeon Grey.
Bringing a new twist on a classic sneaker design, the Native Unisex Jefferson in Surfer Blue is on trend for spring/summer 2014.
The perfect slip on for your on-the-go lifestyle, the Native Unisex Verona is a light weight and waterproof shoe you can take anywhere.
If you love boat shoe silhouettes as much as we do, you'll go crazy for the Native Unisex Howard! Take it from the sea to the street.
Little feet will stay light and bright with the Native Kid's Jefferson! Little girls love this shade of Orchid Purple.
Both lightweight and waterproof, the Native Kid's Miller is ideal for fun-loving girls and boys.
