2015 marks the 65th anniversary of the iconic Clarks Originals Desert boot. Over time, Clarks has become one of the most recognizable boots in the world. Originally inspired by Nathan Clarks service in Burma during World War 2, the shoe has since gone on to become one of the most iconic and timeless shoes in popular culture. After several features in magazines, including coverage in Esquire Magazine, the brand's popularity began to steadily rise, gaining a great deal of popularity in the 1950s.
It's no secret that Clarks Desert boots have a long withstanding history of being worn and embraced by a strong youth counter culture, specifically, brit-pop and mod just to name a few. So, in the spirit of counterculture, we've decided to celebrate 65 years of iconic cool with some great music from musicians from these cultural eras!
