#MADETOBEBROKEN: BREAKING THE STYLE RULES

Rules are #MadeToBeBroken. When it comes to style, there are far too many of these rules holding us back from expressing ourselves proudly and boldly. This summer, we're breaking these rules and doing our style, our way.

Summer is about being carefree, exploring, taking risks. Pushing the boundaries and trying new things. Summer is not about being restricted, unoriginal, bored or uninspired.

With this in mind, we’ve decided to throw away the style rulebook that has been in place for so long. We’re going to take style risks, embrace unlikely combinations and just do us.

We’re all too familiar with some well-known clothing style rules: don’t color clash, never mismatch prints, don’t do double denim and don’t even THINK about wearing white after Labor Day. When it comes to footwear, we have also become accustomed to some strict style rules. Sneakers can't be paired with dressy skirts, flats in the office are a no-no. This year, we’re not listening.

Rep those socks and sandals. Put on those sporty slides with your dressiest skirt and definitely KILL IT in sport sandals with your denim culottes. These are all rules that are #MadeToBeBroken and we plan on breaking them in serious style.

So let's be inspired to be rule breakers; smash that style status quo and do our shoes - our way.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be showcasing some of our favorite looks created with a rebel spirit and ready to take on a summer of new experiences and unbeatable memories made.

The first style rule we are pulling the plug on is the impression that 'socks and sandals are for dads'. Read here how we are reclaiming this one 'uncool' look and bringing it back to the fashion forefront.
